• NO WAX - Therefore No Internal Ingestion
• NO LEAD that is rumored to cause Cancer
Consumers of SeneGence products may feel entirely comfortable wearing all of our beautiful LipSense Colors knowing that they do not contain lead and our products are not ingested by the consumer unlike other wax-based lip products.
The premier product for SeneGence is patented LipSense liquid lip color.
LipSense is an amazing departure from conventional lipsticks and lip colors found on the market today.
LipSense is initially sold as a set, which includes LipSense liquid lip color, a moisturizing Gloss, and an Ooops! Remover for users must have a remover in the event they need to remove the product.

The Science Behind the Product

This unique product is waterproof and does not smear off, rub off, nor kiss off! And, just as important, it does not dry out your lips. In fact, it restores the moisture content of your lips when used properly. LipSense liquid lip color can last anywhere between 4 and 18 hours.
LipSense is a non-wax liquid lip color that stays on your skin. LipSense provides a natural shield from the sun. The proprietary formulations and color pigments in LipSense help create a mechanical covering for the lips. That means the skin on your lips are protected from the sun’s rays by the color pigments. Therefore, your lips are more protected from harmful rays. That is just one of the reasons your lips become so smooth and soft with consistent use of LipSense.
Generally, after the using LipSense® Lip Color for a while, you learn to determine how long your lip color shade lasts based upon the pH balance of your skin’s surface; if it is near to the end of the day for the wearer, the lip color may be ‘breaking down’ and could be removed with just hot water and a washcloth.

The patented formulation technology includes:

SD Alcohol 40 - SD Alcohol 40 is nothing close to Isopropyl Alcohol - or rubbing alcohol. In fact, you need SD Alcohol 40 to apply LipSense® to lips. While rubbing alcohol instantly removes LipSense® from the skin. We do not recommend the use of rubbing alcohol on the skin because it dries out the skin.
LipSense® is formulated with SD Alcohol 40 because:
It is thinner than water and suspends the tiny particles within the formula.
It immediately evaporates from the skin upon the delivery of the technology to the skin. (The “tingling” sensation felt on the lips, when some wearers first begin to use the color, is the evaporation process of the SD Alcohol 40 felt within the dry cracks of the lips. This sensation disappears as lower layers of skin’s moisture content are restored by the use of the moisturizing gloss.)
Tiny Particles - are particles that help the color pigments to molecularly bind to the skin (see Ingredient listing). Over time, the particles begin to detach from the skin’s surface. The rate at which this occurs varies tremendously and is based upon the pH-balance of each person’s skin and the color they’ve chosen to wear for the day.
Color Pigments - Each tube of color has a varied formulation and mixture of color pigments to arrive at a specific color. Some colors naturally last longer than others because of the different body chemistry of each wearer, and some colors are thicker or richer in color pigmentations, while others are sheer and thinner.
Glossing - It is important to know the long-lasting properties of LipSense are enhanced by any of the LipSense moisturizing glosses. The gloss products also help to keep the lips moist and plump.
Key Ingredients and Benefits LipSense® Long-Lasting Liquid Lip Color is made of a combination of ingredients. Here are a few key components:

Lipsense Lip Color ingredients:

SD Alcohol 40 – used as a delivery system for the color technology; creates a germ and bacteria-free environment.
Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract – a natural calming plum flower herb.
Tilia Cordata Flower Extract – a natural flower extract rich in flavonoids and a powerful anti-oxidant.
Isodonis Japonicus Extract - Fragrant plant extract that contains terrenes, shown to have medicinal properties to soothe skin.
Mica - an earth mineral used to give products sparkle and shine.
Titanium Dioxide - an inert earth mineral used as a thickening ingredient and sunscreen in cosmetics. It protects skin from UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have no risk of skin irritation.
Hypericum Perforatum Extract – also known as St John’s Wort, a natural herb used to elevate mood and treat depressions.

LipSense Glosses Ingredients:

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) - The scientific name for shea butter, considered as a plant lipid. Lipids are the oil and fat components of skin that prevent moisture evaporation from the skin and provide lubrication to the skin’s surface. Lipids are considered as a natural moisturizer.
Tocopheryl (and Tocopheryl Acetate) - Vitamin E, essential for maintaining the activities of enzymes in the cells and for the formation of red blood cells. Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant and has been shown to inhibit skin cancer and aid in the healing of skin ailments. Vitamin E is a dynamic weapon against premature aging and combating wrinkles by neutralizing free radicals to stop the chain reaction of molecular damage and to protect the skin against oxidation. It’s also believed to protect skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays once absorbed into the skin.
Propylparaben - Has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties that mold in products. It is non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin.
Beeswax - A highly refined thickening agent used for its emollient properties that creates a coating over the lips to help seal in moisture.

Ooops! Remover

Ooops! Remover is especially designed to erase those “Ooops!” mistakes that can occur when applying LipSense Liquid Lip Color. As well, at the end of the day, Ooops Remover will help to “lift” the color from your lips.
The consumer needs to purchase one Ooops™ Remover one time.
The Science Behind the Product
Ooops! Remover is formulated to gently remove the patented long- lasting LipSense.
Key Ingredients and Benefits:
Ooops! Remover is made of a combination of ingredients. Here are a few key components:

Glycerin - promotes the retention of moisture and emollient used in cosmetics for its ability to absorb moisture from the air and help keep moisture in the product and on the skin.
Methyl Gluceth-20 - Humectants (meaning they preserve the moisture content of materials)
Triethanolamine - a Surfactant. A Surfactant is a wetting ingredient that lowers water’s surface tension allowing the product to spread more easily over the skin and is used when a mild product is required for the skin.
Hydroxyethylcellulose - modified cellulose (chief constituent of the fiber of plants) used as a binder, emulsion stabilizer
and thickener.
